Asterisk Gallery to Close

After 10 years of running Asterisk Gallery, local art fixture Dana Depew is shutting out the lights.  The gallery will close after its final exhibition, scheduled to open Friday, Sept 10. The Grand Finale? – Studies in Nepotism, a very fitting tribute to Dana himself.  Please come out and see the gallery off in style  (there will also be closing reception on Oct 8).

Asterisk has provided Cleveland a unique artistic outlet, providing monthly exhibitions of regional artists that have ranged from traditional to experimental media.  And Dana has done it largely by himself (with a healthy dose of community support) out of his own pocket.

As an artist himself, it is understandable that Dana wants  to focus more of his resources on his own work.  We wish him the best.  And expect to see an explosion in his already prolithic work.
