What does the Doan Brook watershed mean to our community? Is it the stream itself, the lakes, lagoons or corridor of parklands? Or is it the watershed’s communities and their residents, the institutions of University Circle, the architecture, or the neighborhood wildlife?

Northeast Ohio photographers age 16 and older are invited to submit print or electronic photographs and short videos to a juried exhibition, co-sponsored by the Doan Brook Watershed Partnership and Nature Center at Shaker Lakes, as part of its Art on View series, October 4 through December 30, 2013. Daniel Levin, Associate Professor in the Visual Communications-Photography department of Cuyahoga Community College, is the guest juror. All subject matter, styles, techniques, image capture and photographic processes are welcome. Part of the exhibition is devoted to digitally displayed works through large-screen monitors in the gallery space.

ELIGIBILITY: All entries are to be shot within the 12 square mile area of the Doan Brook watershed, from its headwaters in Shaker Heights to Lake Erie at the Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve. Watershed maps are available at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes or here.
