Photography Internship: Force Sport

Overview

Force Sports is a family of (6) sports facilities throughout Northeast Ohio offering indoor and outdoor sports programming, leagues, rentals, and tournaments, and Force branded teams in a variety of sports. These sports include soccer, baseball, lacrosse, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and performance training primarily focused on kids aged 3-18 years old.

Internship Overview

The Photojournalism Intern will be responsible for capturing images that help tell the story of Force Sports in photos. The Intern will capture 50-75 high quality still and action photos of indoor facilities and athletes in a variety of sports activities. The Intern will be also be responsible for editing the chosen photos, in conjunction with Supervisor, to be used on the Force Sports website(s) and social media outlets throughout the year.

Commitment

Intern will be expected to attend (2) to (3) hours of programming (between 12:00pm-10:00pm) each weekday based on the programming schedule, (4) hours of programming each weekend, schedule time for still photographs of (6) indoor facilities and (+/-10) athletes as well as editing time necessary to fulfill the commitment. The commitment will be approximately (5) weeks of time. In addition to learning how to convey the Force Sports story through photojournalism, the Intern will also be exposed to facility and day to day business operations of Force Sports and have the opportunity to gain valuable experience.

College Credit

This Photojournalism Internship will be eligible for college credit, based on the terms and conditions of your college department. The Internship will not offer pay.

Travel & Reimbursements

Since Force Sports has facilities and events throughout Northeast Ohio the Intern will be required to have their own car, insurance, and valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to several facilities and venues throughout Northeast Ohio. Force Sports agrees to reimburse the Intern for all travel expenses related to capturing the images as well as any out-of-pocket costs accumulated during Internship.

Supervisor

Intern will report to Shaw Abrams who is a Co-Owner of Force Sports.
