THE COMPETITION
The Department of Art and Design at Marshall University will host a juried exhibition, Social Justice: Art in a Time of Change. Full-time undergraduate and graduate art majors enrolled in Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia colleges or universities are invited to use their skills and experiences to create art that informs, educates, arouses indignation and moves the viewer to action. Submissions may address issues like social, cultural, political, or environmental injustices and may be completed in any visual media.

THE JUROR
Mark Hosler, is a founding member of the group Negativland (!).
ENTRY FEE
$15.00 for a maximum of three entries. Total images may not exceed 6. Videos are limited to 15 minutes.
MATERIAL AND MEDIA
• Two-dimensional media may not exceed a maximum dimension of 4’ x 6’.
• Sculptural pieces may not exceed 8’ in any direction and may not exceed 300 pounds.
• Limit videos to 15 minutes in length.
In short: small pool, reasonable entry fee, cool juror, great award money, and a noble theme. It’s also your prof’s previous institution. Fine folks down there.
