Darkroom Equipment for Sale

October 29, 2009

Art on Wheels, a non-profit art education organization, is getting rid of their darkroom & photography equipment.  If you’re into the darkroom thing, and think you might like to pick something up, please contact AOW:

216.941.7643 or carolina@artonwheels.us.

And, while you’re there perusing the equipment, be sure to take in the view of the Cuyahoga from AOW’s great location in the Flats.

41st latitude

Now this is interesting:

Gala Gallery, a new gallery in Legacy Village is holding an exhibition/competition for students (HS & college) in major cities on the 41st  Parallel North.  This includes Chicago, Cleveland, Porto, Barcelona, Rome, Tbilisi and Istanbul.

$500 First prize is awarded by gallery visitors’ voting.  And I can’t find anything about an entry fee.  The gallery has a commercial and international (travel) angle.

Check their website to get a feel for what they’re about.

PDNedu image

CSU Photo was prominently featured in an article in Photo District News Education (PDNedu).  It featured student Meghan Fischer and alumnus Peter Jennings, as well as the Phototography Exchange Blog and Youngstown State’s photo blog.  I haven’t seen the hard copy yet.  But I have a pdf of the article.
