October 29, 2010Prepare to embark on your final, half-term project. You will make a cohesive body of photographic work. The work should hold together in its concepts, themes, and form. I expect thoughtfulness and dedication to the creative process, as well as technical competence, inventiveness, originality and a solid conceptual approach.
We will have scheduled working critiques, and a final critique as outlined in the syllabus and schedule. But first you must propose your project. Download this form and fill it out using Microsoft Word: Final Project Proposal. Then, print it and turn it in no later than Nov 5.
CSU Art Gallery Presents the People’s Art Show

Snapshots of Shaker Photo Contest
October 21, 2010Calling all photographers.
The Shaker Historical Society is looking for images that capture the unique beauty of the City of Shaker Heights. The photo should be a striking representation of an aspect of Shaker Heights.
Contestants must submit an 8 x 10 photo capturing the distinctive identity of Shaker Heights, the entry form and the $5 submission processing fee.
Winners in each age group will have their photos used in publications and placed on display in the Shaker Historical Society for visitors to see.
Contest Begins October 22, 2010 and ends November 22, 2010.
Winners will be announced December 17, 2010.
