PROX Cards to Become Mandatory

March 6, 2012
Viking IDs / Prox Card System to Become Active After Spring Break
The front door is already active. The doors to 2 & 5 have been unlocked, but may soon need prox card activation every time you enter. You can tell if your Viking ID is active by flashing it at the readers in the elevator lobby on 2. If you can open the door without turning the handle (just pull), after flashing your card, then you’re set. If not, see Jan to get the proper paperwork in order, and get to the Viking Card Office to get yours updated.

DUE: ASAP (Before we return from Spring Break.)

CSU is Moving Over Break

December 13, 2011

The Art Department is moving to the Middough Building over the holiday break!

A message from our Chair:

Please remove any personal belongings from studios and lockers before the semester ends. Anything remaining after December 19th will be discarded.
Please be sure that your CSU ID card is active as a Prox Card. If you are a new student in the last year, your ID is already Prox activated. If you are unsure, please contact the Viking Card office. Students may need their Prox cards to enter the Middough building and associated studios when Spring 2012 classes begin, so bring yours on a daily basis.
If you haven’t already, please register for ART classes Spring 2012 ASAP! If we’ve given you a permission, you still need to go through Campus Net to register! Our office will be as open as possible during the move, but you can expect delays. Best to register before December 23rd to ensure your space in a class!
Parking near Middough is more complicated than it is in our current location. You can assume you’ll need to budget more “walking” time to get to your classes. Parking services have distributed a FAQ sheet and a list of Private Parking options and I am attaching them here. You can also get up-to-date information on parking changes here:

Here is area couple pdf’s that addresses parking for Middough:

Map and information on Middough area parking

Please bear with us during this transition to what I know will eventually be an inspiring and well appointed space. I expect the spring semester may be a bit bumpy, but I am so excited about all of the new opportunity coming our way.
Best,
Jennifer Visocky O’Grady
