Drop-off: Wednesday, March 18th and Thursday, March 19th, 10am to 4pm in the Art Gallery.
Drop-off up to 4 pieces in any medium. Work must be ready to hang (matted and/or framed, etc.) and completed within the last year. All work will be sold as displayed.
All CSU students are eligible to participate.

CSU students and alumni hold their first ever off-campus exhibition this January. While wall space is limited the SOFA organizers want to include as many students as possible. You are invited to submit up to five images to be projected outside the gallery. Work must be submitted by Dec 28. See the flyers above for more information.
SOFA (Student Organization of Fine Arts) and Cleveland State University Art Department invite all students to come draw, paint, photograph, sculpt, etc. the animals and environs of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on Monday, Oct 8, 2012 (it’s Columbus Day, a national holiday). Tickets are FREE for you AND YOUR GUESTS. Weather permitting food there will be a grill in the parking lot.

VISUAL ART MERIT SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION 2012- 2013
Approximately $40,000 in scholarship, up to full tuition, is awarded on the basis of artistic merit.
ELIGIBILITY: Current and prospective full-time undergraduate art majors seeking a first B.A. degree and needing at least 24 additional credit hours for graduation who have not defaulted on a previous CSU Merit Scholarship agreement within the past year.

A note: I highly recommend consulting with your area faculty member on the portfolio you submit. In the past, those photo students I’ve consulted with have done much better than those who’ve edited the work on their own, or included non-class related projects. I’m just sayin’…
Classes will meet at the Cleveland Metropark Zoo this Friday. Bring your camera or other art media to take advantage of the free tickets provided by SOFA.
You can pick up wristbands at the entrance from 10am-11am, or at the picnic in the back parking lot from 1pm- 2:30pm. If you arrive at another time, call or text Omid at 216.224.3470. Someone will meet you at the gate.

SOFA is organizing another FREE trip to the zoo to draw, paint or photograph.
Friday, October 7 from 10am – 5pm.
